President’s Message for August 2006

So you want to run for office?

Boy I hope so. The September monthly meeting will serve as the official date to elect new officers to the Mardi Gras Region PCA board. As such, it will be important for anyone interested in running for any position to attend. Don’t be shy or bashful. If you even think you have an interest in this sort of thing, please throw your hat into the ring. I don’t want to sound too desperate but it’s vitally important for the well being of our region that we have some new “blood” step up and take control. That “new” blood can be newer members or members that have been around but not held office.

It’s not too hard (that should be obvious by the fact that I am your current president) and there are plenty of people who can help guide you along the way. All offices are up for election but the primary spots that need to be filled are President, VP, Treasurer, and Secretary. The other offices serve vital functions as well but in the past have usually been filled by folks that the president asked to serve. The pay is not the greatest but the perks are wonderful.

Please consider becoming an officer within the club and help continue to make the Mardi Gras Region PCA a special part of Porsche ownership.
