President’s message for February 2006
Welcome Back
I realize some of you never left but regardless of where you’ve been, the Mardi Gras Region PCA is ready to get back on track. We have new officers, a new website, a new DE schedule, and more.
Since you’re reading this message, you’ve undoubtedly noticed that our website looks a little different since the last time you visited. Our intent is for the site to serve as the main source of information concerning everything within the MGRPCA. Please visit the site often as information will be continually updated about upcoming events, meetings, announcements, etc…
You may also begin to notice that in addition to all the other pieces of mail you no longer receive, The Parade is not being published and therefore won’t find its way onto your coffee table or workbench. Hopefully, this will be temporary but until the time that an aspiring newsletter editor makes himself known to us, this is the way it must be.
Elsewhere within this site you will find a list of the current Board Members. Next time you see any of these individuals, please take a moment to thank them for volunteering to help the MGRPCA continue to function and grow. These folks do a lot of work that often goes unnoticed but must be done in order for the club to operate. In the same vein, thank our outgoing President, Chris Wilken, for a fantastic job done over the last two years. He and his lovely wife, Lois, often worked their tails off without complaint. A big kudos goes out to them and the other outgoing board members as well.
Lastly, we are and will continue to seek out your opinions, talents, help, and feedback as we make our way through 2006. If there is something that you would like to see the club do or participate in, please attend one of our monthly membership meetings and let us know. Better yet, if you have any interest serving on the board or on a committee or just helping out in some way, contact myself or one of the other board members. Our region depends on input and participation by the membership. As your new President, my goal for 2006 is to increase participation in any activity that the MGRPCA sees fit to undertake. With your help, we can make it happen.
Hoping you always hit the apex,
Scott Foremaster
